The promotional association "Verein die Schwrzwalduhr (VDS)" awards the seal only to the clocks driven by the mechanical movement. This VDS seal marks the distinctive clocks from the Trieberg region and is the most important sign of genuine quality. The designation - original Black Forest clock - may bear only the clocks with the recognition of VDS.
